I have finally started quilting the Kaffe Fassett Bordered Diamonds Quilt. You can find previous posts on this quilt here and here and here are some previous posts on this quilt. It is a beast and I wasn’t sure if I wanted to tackle this on my own or not. So, here goes nothing. I spent four hours quilting the top yesterday and am only about half way through.
I have sore hands and a sore neck as proof.
I don’t have many photos to show you since I was so engrossed in sewing… :-)
I ended up going with black and white on the back of the quilt. You will just have to wait until it is all done until I show off the whole thing.
It is nice to be back to sewing. Oh…I have missed you. How is it possible that I have been off work for a week and just got to quilting? It’s that baking thing that is competing for my time!

Wendy, your quilt is GORGEOUS! I love those bold, splashy jewel tone prints, and the way you centered a bloom in each diamond. Are you stopping to get up and stretch every 15-20 minutes? It really helps with the stiffness and soreness — you can set a little timer to remind you when it’s time to stretch your muscles. Can’t wait to see this beauty when it’s finished!
